The Hazelwood is situated in Clarence Road, Shanklin. Clarence Road is a turning off Arthur's Hill one of the main roads leading to Sandown, Shanklin Town Centre and the Old Village. It is well located for the town, the beach and railway station.

Shanklin is one of the two main seaside resorts on the Isle of Wight. As well as sandy beaches it is officially one of the sunniest places in the United Kingdom.
There is more to Shanklin than just the beaches. Cliff walks provide breath-taking scenery and the town is thriving with a good range of independent stores together with the familiar high street names. Just a short walk through the town centre brings you to Shanklin Old Village with its delightful tea rooms, pubs full of character and thatched cottages. Also in the Old Village is the famous Shanklin Chine, a historic gorge of natural beauty with rare plants and wildlife.
Just along the coast are the golden beaches of Sandown, the other main seaside holiday resort.
